Online PC Backup
How It Works

Despite their best intentions, the fact is not all PC users are diligent about performing regular PC backup. And those that are often store the backup media in the same facility as their PCs. Should a fire or other disaster occur, both the original and backup information would be lost. Even a strategically spilled cup of coffee can wreak havoc on your business if it destroys files that haven’t been backed up recently. That’s where MirrorDisk can save the day.

MirrorDisk automatically performs a daily PC backup of all files changed since the previous backup session. Note:  Since the very first backup is of a PC’s entire contents, it requires a long time to execute, usually broken into a few “mini PC backups” (typically around 2 – 5 GB per day) over the course of several days. After that, incremental daily PC backups of new or changed files are accomplished in just a few minutes.

How it Works

The online file backup process runs in the background allowing the user to continue working throughout the process. MirrorDisk technology even backs up open files as they’re being worked on for up-to-the-minute data integrity. All data is stored at a secure, off-site storage vault.

In the event of a computer crash, MirrorDisk will generate a set of restore CDs containing the entire system contents. Simply call us or send an e-mail to administrator@theitsquad.com from a working computer.  If sending an e-mail include the subject line of “Request Emergency CDs” and confirm your name, mailing address and phone number. The restore CDs will then be sent via overnight delivery. Even if you never experience a crash, MirrorDisk online file backup service entitles you to one complimentary set of CDs each year so you can archive the state of your computer.
